New eyes and new ears

Jesus paid the price for all we need through His sacrifice, giving His life on the cross. He thereby has called us into a covenant with Him. We are joint heirs! (See Romans 8:17.) In fact, before we ask, God has already said yes. “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us” (2 Corinthians 1:20). Personally,

I want to live in such a way as to bring glory and increase to the Kingdom of God and do as much damage to the kingdom of darkness as possible. It is hard to live proactively in that way while being passive. Spiritual maturity is far more than a matter of no longer sinning. Maturity comes when we begin to see life from God’s perspective so we can become a blessing to the Kingdom of God. Paul wrote: That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. Ephesians 1:17–18

Maturity comes when we begin to see by the Spirit, and we stop trusting our sense realm. As believers filled with the Holy Spirit, we have a new set of eyes and a new set of ears.
