I AND MY FATHER

I AND MY FATHER

John 5:17-43

The Gospel of John is the "Holy of Holies" in the tabernacle of the New Testament. John could no more invent the things taught in this book than he could make a ladder that would reach unto Heaven. John's Gospel is the Gospel of "the Father and the Son," or the Son's relationship to the Father. With the exception of Matthew 11:27, this great theme is almost never touched by the other evangelists. This is "holy ground." Let us approach it, as it were, with humble and unshod feet. From Christ's own lips we learn that:

1. HE WAS LOVED BY THE FATHER

"The Father loveth the Son, and sheweth Him all things that Himself doeth" (John 5:20). One of the proofs of this love is that He "sheweth Him all things that Himself doeth." The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into His hand (John 3:35). It is the manner of our gracious God to manifest His love by giving (John 3:16).

FAITH: NATURE AND REWARD

FAITH: NATURE AND REWARD

John 4 46 54

Some of God's brightest blessings come to us clothed in the dark weeds of mourning. If this nobleman's heart had not been moved through the sickness of his son, he never would have known the healing power of Jesus Christ through faith. Blessed is that sorrow which constrains us to go believingly to the Son of God.

1. AN EARNEST REQUEST

"When he heard that Jesus was come... he went and besought Him that He would come down and heal his son" (John 4:47). He heard, he went, he besought. This is the workings of an honest heart. His request that Christ would "come down" shows faith in the power of His presence, but perhaps a lack of faith in His promise. The Lord would teach the nobleman and us that His Word is as good as Himself. "The words that I speak unto you are spirit and life." They have the same character as He Himself.

THE WOMAN OF SAMARIA

John 4:1-30

"He must needs go through Samaria." There was a must needs for every word Christ spoke, and for every act that He did. Those Jews, which had "no dealings with the Samaritans," usually avoided going through Samaria when journeying from Judea to Galilee; but Christ's love for sinners constrained Him to go that way. He lived not to please Himself, but to seek and to save the lost. In this He has left us an example that we should follow His steps. Meanwhile let us center our thoughts on the woman. See her as:

1. A FLAGRANT SINNER

It is quite clear from John 4:18 that this woman lived in a condition of shameless immorality. She seems to have been the chief among this class of sinners. But Jesus knew when and where to find her. It is no mere coincidence to come into contact with the Son of God. He knows the way that we take.

We Need more than a Teacher

John 3:2

We take Nicodemus as one of the best specimens of "religious humanity"; educated, moral, of high position and culture; a strict observer of religious rites, and seasons, and ordinances; a "ruler of the Jews," a "master of Israel," and a believer in Israel's promised Messiah.

He ought to have fully known the Messiah's errand, and to have recognized Him at once when He came. But even Nicodemus, this well-instructed religious ruler and master, one of the leaders of the straightest sect, fails to understand Him.

Meet Belial the Demon

Does Failure and  frustration seem to be your lot in life? Is your life characterized by continual setbacks and misfortune, missed opportunities, bad luck? Does it appear as though no matter what you do in life, you cannot seem to obtain the blessings of the Lord?

Well let me tell you that you my just be bonded by a curse that is demonic and has been around for ages. You might think I'm out of my mind. However , there are things in the Bible that points to the demise of our country and of ourselves and loved one. Let us not be fooled for if we believe in Christ we have to also acknowledge the existence of satan. Since satan is the prince of air on this earth and he is not omnipresent or omnipotent that means he needs soldiers in his army because he cannot be everywhere at once or fight everyone at once. So when Lucifer the angel of light was thrown out of Heaven because he wanted to be like God and during that revolt many angels that were on his side they were expelled along with their ring leader down to the lowest depths of earth. So, from the moment Lucifer meaning angel of light was expelled so was also his name changed to satan meaning adversary.

So satan since being expelled has had ages of practice in setting up his army and it does have structure like mayor demons minor demons but nevertheless they are demons. I want to bring to you attention one of satans major demon. Many of the curses that can affect a person's life come as a result of one of the most wicked and vile spirits in the kingdom of darkness-the spirit of belial. You might be saying where am I getting all this from but before I tell that. I must say that churches are falling church are failing church are deviating from the real sword the Bible. That's why our schools where our children attend have become war zones for their very souls ever since we took prayer out of our schools. Our social degradation as a people, individual as a nation has become so corrupt because it has turned its back on God. We have take the Ten Commandments out of our Judicial system. Our nation was created by God and to God we have to return. But we have to play our role as a true believer of Christ to ensure that happens.

An Exegetical Study of Romans 8:31

An Exegetical Study of Romans 8:31

1. Introduction to the Book of Romans

These difficulties reached a climax when the Emperor Claudius expelled the Jews from Rome in 49 AD. The expulsion of the Jews disrupted the Christian organization in Rome. The Gentile Christians took over the leadership of the Church. When the Jews returned, synagogue worship spilled over into the Christian Church. The Jewish and Gentile Christians refused to recognize the leadership of each other, so the Church was in disarray when Paul wrote the book of Romans from Corinth.

The book was written in 57 AD. The church of Rome had been in existence for twenty-five years before the book was written. However, the church of Rome faced some difficulties. The Jews of Rome did not accept Christianity, so the church was made up mostly of Gentiles. Differences, tension, and some prejudice developed between the Jewish Christians and the Gentile Christians.

The book of Romans was written by the Apostle Paul to a group of Christians in Rome. It consists of sixteen chapters and is an epistle. This book makes a very sophisticated, thorough, and coherent presentation of the gospel, salvation, and the role of sanctification in the life of the believer.

The Book of Romans, the sixth book of the New Testament, is an important book in today's world. It has proven to be the most influential and dominant book of the New Testament since the writings of Irenaeus. It also holds a position of importance in the Church. It is the foundation of the Protestant Reformation.

Paul’s ministry - Romans 15:14–21

Welcome to A Voice in the Desert, I'm your host César. Today, we will be diving into Romans 15:14–21, where Paul talks about his role as a minister to the Gentiles.

In this passage, Paul starts off by commending the believers in Rome, acknowledging their goodness, knowledge, and ability to instruct one another. However, he also mentions that he is writing to them boldly as a reminder of the grace given to him by God. Paul sees himself as a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, serving in the priestly role of spreading the gospel of God.

Paul's ministry to the Gentiles was not in vain, as he mentions that through the power of signs, wonders, and the Spirit of God, he was able to bring the Gentiles to obedience. He emphasizes that his work was not in his own strength, but rather through what Christ had accomplished through him. Paul's ambition was to preach the gospel where Christ was not yet known, in order to fulfill his ministry of spreading the message of Christ.

As Paul quotes from the Old Testament in verse 21, "Those who have never been told of him will see, and those who have never heard will understand," we see his passion for reaching those who have not yet heard the gospel. This reflects the heart of God, who desires for all people to come to know Him and be saved.

Paul's ministry to the Gentiles serves as an example for us today. We are called to be ministers of Christ, spreading the good news of salvation to those who have not yet heard. Just like Paul, we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to carry out this mission, knowing that it is not by our own strength but by the grace of God.

As we reflect on Paul's words in Romans 15:14–21, let us be encouraged to boldly proclaim the gospel to those around us. Let us be filled with the same passion and ambition that drove Paul to reach the lost, knowing that God is at work in and through us to bring salvation to all who will hear.

Thank you for joining me on this episode of A Voice in the Desert. Tune in next time as we continue to explore the Word of God and its relevance to our lives today. Remember, you are a minister of Christ, called to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth. God bless.

An Eternity with God

Welcome to the A Voice in the Desert podcast, where we dive deep into spiritual and thought-provoking topics to explore the mysteries of faith and the teachings of the Bible. In today's episode, we will be discussing what it will be like to be in eternity with God according to the Bible.

The concept of eternity with God is a central theme in Christian theology, and it is described in various ways throughout the Bible. It is a topic that has fascinated believers for centuries, as we try to grasp the unfathomable nature of spending eternity in the presence of the Almighty.

One of the most well-known passages that speaks to this idea is found in the book of Revelation. In Revelation 21:3-4, we read, "And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.'"

This passage paints a vivid picture of what it will be like to be in eternity with God - a place of comfort, peace, and joy where all suffering and pain will be no more. It speaks to the idea of being in perfect communion with God, where He will be our constant companion and source of strength and comfort.

Another passage that sheds light on the concept of eternity with God is found in 1 Corinthians 2:9, which says, "But, as it is written, 'What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.'"

This verse emphasizes the unimaginable nature of what awaits those who love God and seek to be in His presence for eternity. It speaks to the idea that our human minds cannot fully comprehend the wonders and beauty that God has in store for us in the afterlife.

In addition to these passages, the Bible also describes eternity with God as a place of worship and praise. In Revelation 4:8-11, we read about the heavenly creatures and elders who constantly worship and glorify God, saying, "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!"

This imagery of worship and praise paints a picture of a place where we will be able to fully express our love and devotion to God in a way that we cannot fully comprehend in our current earthly existence. It speaks to the idea that eternity with God will be a place of unending joy and fulfillment as we worship and glorify Him for all eternity.

Overall, the Bible paints a beautiful and awe-inspiring picture of what it will be like to be in eternity with God. It speaks to the idea of a place of perfect peace, joy, and fulfillment where all suffering and pain will be no more. It describes a place where we will be in perfect communion with God, worshiping and praising Him for all eternity.

As we reflect on these passages and meditate on the idea of eternity with God, let us be filled with hope and anticipation for the glorious future that awaits us in His presence. May we continue to seek Him with all our hearts and live our lives in a way that honors and glorifies Him, knowing that one day we will be in His presence for all eternity. Thank you for joining us on this episode of the A Voice in the Desert podcast. Stay tuned for more thought-provoking discussions on faith and spirituality.

In addition to the descriptions of eternity with God found in the Bible, there are also various interpretations and perspectives from theologians and scholars throughout history that offer further insights into this profound topic.
