Unclean Spirit Rebuked By Jesus Christ.

Mark 1:23-27

In this verse we can see that when Jesus came into the world and the world did not know him. However we can note that their are several teachings in this verse. One of them we see that even though Jesus was in a Synagogue an evil spirit was in a Holy Synagogue. Meaning no matter where we are in this world, evil lurks in every corner; even in those places we consider holy and safe. You might say but how can this happen. We will understand this once we realize that the prince of the air (satan) is in charge only for a while of this world. Only upon the second coming of Jesus will this world be rid of evil once and for all.

We should also note that the only thing that knew who Jesus was, was the unclean spirit within the young man. The unclean spirit immediately called him the son of God and they trembled at his sight. However the Jewish Rabbis were amazed at what Jesus did with the uncleaned spirit. This shows you that knowledge of theology will not save you and on the contrary it might make you blind to the true reality. Only true faith in the One who made us in his image and a little bit lower than the Angels will we survive and make the rapture with our Lord and savior.

However the unclean spirit when rebuked and exorcised did not leave without a fight as we can read it says it tore the young man apart meaning it caused it great and horrific pain upon it's departure also notes that it was not just one unclean spirit but many within this young man and until they were done in creating havoc in this young man did they then leave. The unclean spirit had no choice but to obey Jesus Christ. Jesus, told the unclean spirit to shut up because Jesus knew that it was not the time for the people of that time to know who he was until the father made that revelation that Jesus was the promised Messiah.

Our God is a wonderful, merciful, full of grace but above all he is a loving God. We must also remember that he is a jealous God with his creation and vengeful God. He is not to be fooled around with and or taken lightly.

However, let us rejoice in Him because he made a way for our eternal salvation through his only begotten Son Jesus Christ.

God Bless You All!

The cost of Following Christ
