If we try to attempt to live the Christian life without the Holy Spirit,
we do so as orphans. Jesus provided the Holy Spirit to meet our needs,
but we must welcome Him into our lives and acknowledge our dependency on
Him. Jesus called the Holy Spirit a “Helper” in John 14: 25–26:
