The Ambition of Demons Establishing Their Kingdom

There are only two realms: the heavenly kingdom and the realm of darkness. We acknowledge that God the Father is the supreme ruler and that Christ is seated at His right hand according to the teachings of the Bible:

"If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God."

DEMONS ARE CALLED “DEVILS” AND “UNCLEAN SPIRITS”

When referring to fallen angels, New Testament scriptures do not use the terms demons, devils, or unclean spirits. Instead, the Bible makes reference to fallen angels by simply using a negative description or context. For example, these verses clearly describe fallen angels:

For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment . . .

—2 PETER 2:4, KJV

And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

—JUDE 1:6, KJV

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.

—MATTHEW 25:41, KJV

In these verses there is no mention of demons or devils. Instead, to make a distinction between God’s holy angels and fallen angels, the New Testament simply calls them the angels “that sinned” or “which kept not their first estate.”

Apart from the simple use of negative descriptions, the New Testament also uses context to draw distinctions between fallen angels and holy angels. An example of this is when in Matthew 25:41 hell is described as a place prepared for “the devil and his angels” (KJV). The angels in that verse were said to belong to the devil, so it is obvious that they were fallen.

Furthermore, in the following verse, while making a strong point about the need to avoid false gospels, Paul the Apostle mentions angels “from heaven.”

Although if we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel to you than the one we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

—GALATIANS 1:8

Of course, it’s obvious that one should reject the gospel of a fallen angel, but it might not have been as obvious to the Galatians that they should reject a different gospel from even a holy angel. To drive his point home, Paul essentially warns, “Even if one of the angels from heaven should preach to you another gospel, do not be deceived.” In other words, “Don’t be swayed even if one of the good guys starts to preach a different gospel.”

Paul’s warning is an example of how the New Testament contrasts both fallen and holy angels. No special term is used to describe fallen angels; they are simply described in a negative way and/or placed in a negative context. Demons, on the other hand, are referred to as “devils,” “unclean spirits,” and “demons.”

Teniendo en cuenta sus esfuerzos para poseer a la humanidad y mantenernos esclavizados al pecado, se hace evidente que las entidades demoníacas anhelan dominar a la humanidad para establecer su propio reino. Desde que Satanás tomó el control del dominio de la humanidad en el Jardín del Edén, se ha librado una batalla continua entre la humanidad y las fuerzas del infierno (Satanás, ángeles caídos y demonios) por influir en la Tierra. Encontramos evidencia de esto en el libro de los Hechos:

Satanás busca construir su reino tentándonos a desobedecer a Dios, como hizo con Adán y Eva. A través de la desobediencia, las personas se vuelven esclavas. Por lo tanto, Satanás y sus fuerzas demoníacas han organizado sus esfuerzos para centrarse en una cosa: persuadir a la humanidad para que desobedezca. Estos ataques sistemáticos ocurren de manera organizada. Las entidades demoníacas se esfuerzan por asegurar que muchos permanezcan ciegos e inclinados a rechazar a Cristo.

However, the kingdom of darkness also exists and operates. Although it will ultimately be defeated, anyone who is not part of God's kingdom is under its sway, as these verses confirm:

"We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one."

—1 JOHN 5:19, NLT

Considering their efforts to possess humanity and keep us enslaved to sin, it becomes apparent that demonic entities crave dominion over mankind in order to establish their own kingdom. Since Satan took control of humanity's dominion in the Garden of Eden, an ongoing battle has raged between humanity and the forces of hell (Satan, fallen angels, and demons) for influence on Earth. We find evidence of this in the Book of Acts:

"To open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God's people, who are set apart by faith in me."

—ACTS 26:18, NLT

Ephesians also references this conflict:

"Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience."

—EPHESIANS 2:2, KJV

Satan aims to construct his kingdom by tempting us to disobey God, just as he did with Adam and Eve. Through disobedience, people become enslaved. Therefore, Satan and his demonic forces have organized their endeavors to focus on one thing: persuading humanity to disobey. These systematic attacks occur in an organized manner. Demonic entities strive to ensure that many remain blind and inclined to reject Christ.

However, those redeemed by Christ are no longer enslaved to the realm of darkness:

"Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son."

It is imperative that we understand the reality of the spiritual battle we are engaged in. The forces of darkness work tirelessly to deceive and destroy. They seek to hinder the progress of God's kingdom and keep humanity captive to sin and despair.

However, we must not cower in fear or succumb to the lies of the enemy. We have been equipped with the armor of God, empowering us to stand against the schemes of the devil. We have the authority to resist his temptations and cast down his strongholds.

In this battle, there is no room for complacency or compromise. We must be vigilant, discerning the tactics of the enemy and actively engaging in spiritual warfare. Prayer, worship, and the study of God's Word are powerful weapons that can effectively combat the darkness and bring about victory in our lives.

Furthermore, we must seek to share the truth of Christ with those ensnared by the enemy. We are called to be ambassadors of the kingdom of God, proclaiming the good news of salvation and setting captives free. Our words and actions should reflect the love, mercy, and grace of Christ, drawing others out of darkness and into the light.

Let us not be swayed by the allurements of the world or intimidated by the opposition we may face. We have been chosen and called by God for a purpose. We are partakers in the divine nature, empowered by the Holy Spirit to bring about transformation in our lives and in the lives of those around us.

So, stand firm, my friends, in the freedom that Christ has won for us. Embrace the reality of the spiritual battle and actively engage in the fight for truth and righteousness. By doing so, we will not only experience personal victory but also contribute to the advancement of God's kingdom on earth.

May we rise up as warriors of light, unafraid and resolute, knowing that in Christ, we have the ultimate victory over the forces of darkness.—COLOSSIANS 1:13, KJV

Many individuals shy away from fully committing to Christ because they believe that the Christian life is restrictive and oppressive. However, the truth is quite the opposite. Without Christ, one becomes a slave to sin, trapped in a deteriorating and destructive lifestyle. Whether they recognize it or not, those who live in sin are bound, not liberated. They are subjects of the kingdom of darkne Instead of embracing the freedom that Christ offers, they mistakenly perceive it as a limitation. They fail to realize that a life without Christ leads to bondage and a downward spiral. The kingdom of darkness thrives on their captivity.

But for those who choose to surrender their lives to Christ, a transformative shift occurs. They are no longer enslaved to the darkness. Through the redemptive power of Christ, they are delivered from the clutches of sin and translated into the kingdom of His beloved Son.

This newfound freedom is often misunderstood by many. They fear that following Christ means sacrificing personal desires and ambitions. However, the truth is that true freedom is found in submission to Christ's lordship. In embracing His teachings and principles, one experiences liberation from the destructive chains of sin.

Contrary to the deceptions of demonic forces, the Christian life is not oppressive. It is a life filled with purpose, meaning, and abundant grace. Through Christ, believers are set free from the bondage of sin and empowered to live a life that glorifies God.

In the battle between the kingdoms, it is crucial to recognize the strategies of the enemy. Demonic beings seek to tempt, deceive, and ensnare humanity in order to establish their dominion. Their organized efforts aim to keep individuals blind to the truth of Christ and resistant to His saving grace.

However, those who have chosen to follow Christ have been rescued from the power of darkness. Their allegiance lies with the kingdom of God, and they are no longer subject to the influence of the evil one.

The forces of darkness may try to intimidate, deceive, and discourage us, but we will not be moved. We have been given the authority and power through Christ to trample on serpents and scorpions, to overcome every obstacle that the enemy throws our way.

No weapon formed against us shall prosper, for the Lord fights our battles. He is our refuge, our fortress, and our strong tower. In His name, we have the power to demolish strongholds, tear down every lie, and break the chains that bind humanity to sin.

We will not be silenced. We will not be swayed. We will boldly proclaim the truth of Christ in a world that desperately needs hope and salvation. We will shine His light in the darkest places, exposing the schemes of the enemy and leading others into freedom.

Do not be deceived, my fellow warriors. The battle may be fierce, but we fight from a position of victory. The enemy may roar like a lion, attempting to intimidate, but he is nothing more than a defeated foe. Our God has already triumphed over him on the cross, and in the name of Jesus, every knee must bow.

So let us stand firm in our identity as children of the Most High God, armed with the full armor of God. Let us wield the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and speak truth into a world that is drowning in lies. Let our lives testify to the power and transforming grace of our Savior.

This battle is not about our own strength or abilities, but about the power of God working in and through us. We are His vessels, chosen and called for such a time as this. Let us rise up in boldness, unity, and faith as we engage in spiritual warfare, knowing that we have already been declared victorious in Christ.

So, my fellow warriors, I urge you to press on. Do not grow weary or discouraged. The battle may be intense, but our God is greater. In Him, we have the strength, the wisdom, and the authority to overcome every obstacle. Un Cristiano no puede ser poseído por el mal

Hoy quiero abordar una preocupación que a veces causa miedo e incertidumbre dentro de la comunidad de creyentes: la noción de posesión demoníaca. Examinemos este tema a través del lente de la Escritura y el entendimiento teológico.

Primero, es esencial recordar que los seres humanos somos tripartitos; estamos compuestos de cuerpo, alma y espíritu. Como lo expresó el Apóstol Pablo en su carta a los Tesalonicenses: "Y el mismo Dios de paz os santifique por completo; y todo vuestro ser, espíritu, alma y cuerpo, sea guardado irreprensible para la venida de nuestro Señor Jesucristo."

Antes de ser salvos, el espíritu humano se considera muerto. Cannot possess a devoted true Christian .

 My dear Brethren , I want to address a concern that sometimes causes fear and uncertainty within the community of believers— the notion of demonic possession. Let's examine this topic through the lens of scripture and theological understanding.

First, it is essential to remember that human beings are tripartite; we consist of body, soul, and spirit. As stated by the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Thessalonians, "Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again." 

Before one is saved, the human spirit is considered dead. However, through the acceptance of Christ, our spirits are reborn, and it is through our spirits that we connect and communicate with God. In this space, demons cannot dwell, for as stated in 2 Corinthians 3:17, "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." 

When one receives salvation, something miraculous occurs—our bodies become the sanctuary for the Holy Spirit. As Paul stated in 1 Corinthians 6:19, "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?" In such a temple, demons cannot coexist with the Holy Spirit. 

The final component is the soul, which encompasses our mind, will, and emotions. Scripturally, demons seem to seek physical bodies, and the Bible doesn't discuss 'soul possession.' If demons were to possess souls, they would control a person's will, an authority not even God seizes from us. Thus, by theological reasoning and biblical evidence, it seems unlikely that demons can possess a believer's soul.

However, it's important to clarify that while demons can't possess believers, they can still influence us. They can incite fear, doubt, or worry and exploit the sins we hold on to. Some refer to this influence as 'demonic oppression,' but I caution against this term because it suggests a lesser form of possession. I prefer to call it 'demonic attack,' which can manifest as emotional or psychological struggles like depression or anxiety. 

Sometimes, believers display behaviors resembling demonic possession—yelling, writhing, or speaking in unfamiliar tones. Such manifestations could be either the result of emotional states, like anxiety-induced panic attacks, or they could be misunderstood spiritual experiences. However, it's important to note that such behaviors do not imply demonic possession.

Ownership is central to the concept of possession. If we belong to Christ, how can we belong to another entity? Paul assures us, "And ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s." The Bible leaves little room for debate; demons cannot possess those who have given their lives to Christ.

To sum up, while believers can certainly be affected by demonic influences, the notion of a demon possessing a believer seems both biblically and theologically implausible. Let us find solace and strength in this understanding, standing firm in our faith, knowing that we are secure in the Lord.
